Size is everything ?

An age-old saying... But in this context, when is a laptop still considered a "portable" computer ? I do realize that the average western person is steadily getting bigger, but is this a bit too much anyway ? Although, I do admit, generally it is said 'bigger is better'... Still, are we ready for them ?
