Superb Mac software bundle !!!

A week of celebrations.

Enjoying your Macintosh experience? There may be one ingredient you've been missing out on: the many amazing products created by the Mac community's extremely active independent software development community.

That's why we're declaring this The Week of the Independent Mac Developer, and in an effort to spread the word about these hidden gems, we've put together a collection of some of the best darn software available on the Mac for a steeply discounted $49.

Showered with awards and accolades.

To provide the best possible introduction to Mac shareware applications possible, we've assembled a diverse lineup of ten Mac applications that together have received multiple Apple Design Awards, O'Reilly Innovator awards, Macworld Eddy's, and MacMinute Showtime awards. In addition, these products have built their stellar reputations with enthusiastic word of mouth from literally hundreds of thousands of happy customers. Whatever your tastes or needs, you will not be disappointed.

Try before you buy.

One thing Mac shareware applications share is the philosophy of "try before you buy". As you explore the bundle's ten applications, you'll find download links on each of these pages. We highly encourage you to download and test run each app before sending in your pledge of support to the Mac development community.

Brighten your holidays with the spirit of giving.

Perhaps best of all, each of the developers participating have agreed to donate 25% of each bundle sale to a charity of the customer's choice. When the bundle sale is finished, MacHeist will be making donations to 8 participating charities in the Mac community's name.

Ready to explore?

The adventure doesn't end here. We hope this bundle has made a strong case for your continued support of the Mac community's independent developers. If you're interested in continuing your exploration of the thousands of high quality shareware and freeware applications available for OS X, we recommend software tracking site, MacUpdate as a great place to start your search.

The cure for the blues...

Guaranteed !!!!

for a laugh anyway... by Da Vinci's Notebook...

Freeze Frame

Even though I use a quite powerful Mac as it is, sometimes I find myself running too many applications simultaneously, and eventually the machine does slow down... If I use a particularly CPU-intensive application, this crawl can be annoying...

But the vibrant Mac programming community always has solutions for these ills. And from Elgebar Studios comes this fantastic little OS X application : Freeze Frame !

With the click of a mouse, I can 'freeze' applications in their tracks, literally reducing their CPU cycles to zero. If you get the registered version, you can even freeze all applications but the frontmost one, thereby giving you uncluttered access to all the CPU power your Mac harnesses... Watch those tasks being performed as intended... This is truly a great application !

Thanks, Elgebar Studios !

Freeze Frame is normally $ 14.95, but today at MacZOT!, you can buy it for only $ 8.95.

ADDENDUM : Upon seeing this product for sale on MacZOT!, I went to the developer's site, and downloaded and tried the product. At the time, the developer had a blog for a license promo. I promptly did post a review to my blog (above), emailed the developer, and got a reply that I would get a license code shortly. Then, not another word. Every time I have tried to explain this to the developer, he has just said the promo is over. So, whatever the merits of this application, this developer does not live up to his own promotions. That plain clear SUCKS !!!! Steer WELL clear of those people. We don't need them in the Mac community.
